MY CV

Over the years, I’ve gained both technical expertise and managerial experience by working in research-driven and policy-oriented environments. My work has taken me across different institutions, where I’ve conducted empirical research, developed innovative methodologies, and coordinated impactful projects.

As a Research Officer at the University of Oxford’s Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), I focused on multidimensional poverty and vulnerability, leading empirical research in diverse contexts, including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Chile, St. Lucia, and the Dominican Republic. I also co-convened OPHI seminars and proposed a new microsimulation method to estimate the impact of COVID-19 on poverty.

At the Human Development Research Office (HDRO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Mexico, I coordinated a small technical team while managing external consultants. This collaboration resulted in twelve multi-thematic reports over four years, shaping discussions on human development in the region.

More recently, at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), I have automated the production of statistical results, developed the methodology for effective development cooperation indicators, and designed the architecture for an online data collection tool. My statistical research has contributed to more than 15+ DAC Peer Reviews (European Union, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Korea, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Denmark, Spain, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic) and Peer Learning exercises (e.g., Locally-Led Development). I have also worked to integrate poverty and inequality indicators into broader statistical research.
